Information You Submit

Search Terms

A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. Rush County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s policy governs its handling of the query.

Messages

If you send an email or contact-form message, the information is retained as needed to read and answer it. Message content is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required.

Technical Data Collected Automatically

Standard server, analytics, and advertising systems may receive technical details when a page loads. These can include:

  • Internet Protocol address;
  • browser name and version;
  • device class and operating system;
  • pages viewed and time spent on them;
  • the referring page or site, when supplied; and
  • access dates and timestamps.

Cookies

Cookies and similar tools help measure how visitors use the site. Browser controls can reject or delete cookies, though parts of the site or partner services may work differently when they are blocked.

How Information Is Used

Collected data supports ordinary site operations and service delivery. It may be used to:

  • keep pages available and responsive;
  • send a search request to the selected partner;
  • understand which Rush County record resources are useful;
  • diagnose errors and technical failures; and
  • display advertising that may reflect visitor interests.

Outside Sites and Advertising

Links may lead to the Rush County Sheriff, Rush County Jail resources, Kansas courts, KDOC and KASPER, VINE, federal locators, or third-party search services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination’s terms and privacy policy apply.

Advertising companies may use their own technology to recognize activity across websites and select interest-based ads. That tracking occurs on their systems and is governed by their policies.

Parties That May Receive Data

Personal information is not sold. Limited data may be handled by:

  • search providers processing a submitted query;
  • analytics vendors measuring site use;
  • advertising networks serving or measuring ads; and
  • law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order.

Security Measures

Reasonable, commonly used safeguards are applied to information under this site’s control. No internet service, transmission, or storage method can be guaranteed breach-proof. Visitors should avoid sending sensitive details that are not needed for a message.

Visitors Under Eighteen

This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may request its deletion through the Get in Touch page.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law and the ability to verify a request, a person may ask to:

  • receive a copy of personal information held by this site;
  • correct inaccurate submitted information;
  • delete personal information where required; or
  • opt out of certain processing where that right applies.

These requests concern data controlled by this site. Rush County and Kansas public records remain under the law and retention practices of the government office that created them, including the Kansas Open Records Act, K.S.A. 45-215 et seq.
